Running
Chamonix is the capital of trail running: every year, UTMB brings the elite of the sport together for an extraordinary week, with eight races including the UTMB itself, 180 km and 10,000 m of elevation gain. I have covered several of these races, including the PTL, nearly 300 km and 25,000 m of elevation gain: more than 100 km on foot during the week, with the gear on my back.
Photographing trail running means following the runners wherever they go, along ridges, through forests, by day and by night. You need to know the course, anticipate the runners and travel light to multiply viewpoints.
Running stories also happen on the road: for Hopaal, I followed a half-marathon-length social run along the Basque coast, from the Biarritz studio to the new production site in Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
Race, brand or team, in Chamonix, in France or abroad: let's talk about your project.
